BibTex Citation Management within MediaWiki

A couple of days ago I started an experiment to use a Wiki system to organize my research project about building a pattern language. For this purpose its essential to cite other peoples work as its common in scientific articles. In other contexts like writing with Latex or managing papers with Mendeley the BibTex data format showed up as very useful to manage and reuse a whole lot of citations. That’s a wonderful solution to dispose data in public space. place things let you link your personal data trash like virus, malware and other snippets on real places. The garbage collector will be called “pickUpAllThat”.

It’s like the guru wind: you want someone to do something really challenging? Say what you’re willing to pay for it and someone might be your slave. I could imagine that almost of the so called challenges will be limited to virtual goods. The “post a wish” function reminds my on Christmas.

Internet = Fernsehen: Der Staatsvertrag zum Jugendmedienschutz

Der endgültige Entwurf für den neuen Jugendmedienschutz-Staatsvertrag soll am 25. März 2010 bei der Konferenz der Regierungschefs der Länder zur Verabschiedung vorgelegt werden. Der Staatsvertrag wird durch die Landesregierungen unter Umgehung der Landesparlamente ausgehandelt. Die Landesparlamente müssen zwar diesen Vertrag noch in Landesrecht umwandeln, haben aber dabei keine Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten mehr, sondern können ihn nur noch abnicken.

Vorabinfo: Auf dem Markt in Zittau plant der Kreisverband der Piratenpartei am Dienstag 16.03.10 eine Demo gegen den Jugendmedienschutz-Staatsvertrag. Zur selben Zeit sind landesweit Demonstrationen angesagt.
